The St Andrew's Ambulance Corps was formed in 1904 to
bring together under one administration all the First Aid units
throughout Scotland. Since then the Association has grown and evolved
and the organisational structure now consists of National Headquarters
which provides Corps support and governs and ensures the rules and
regulations of the association are adhered to, 11 Executive Committees
which provide representation for individual companies and deals with
duties within their boundaries and individual Corps Companies, such as
Stanley which provide and train members for participation in duties.
The 11 Executive Committees are:
Ayrshire, Central, Dumfries
& Galloway, Dundee & Angus, Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow, Grampian,
Highland, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire
