St Andrew's - First Aid

Stanley Company is one of a number of separate Company's that together form St Andrew's Ambulance Corps, a charity that is comprised of a large number of volunteers who give up their own time to provide first aid cover and training throughout Scotland.

Stanley Company offers first aid courses for both adults and children. Classes are on Thursday nights starting from 6pm for cadets and at 7:30pm for the adults. We meet from the first Thursday in September until the last Thursday in May at Ibrox Parish Church, Carillon Rd Ibrox.

Stanley Company was formed in 1974 by Mrs White who was our first Commandant until she retired and was replaced by our current Commandant Mr Sandy Ward.

The company is very large in comparison to most other St Andrew's Ambulance Companies with over 30 uniformed members. We help provide first aid cover at numerous events throughout the year. Many of which are listed in our duties page. If you would like to contact us about covering a duty please contact us or St. Andrew's Ambulance Association National Headquarters.

The company has a large number of officers as can be seen in the chart below:

Each year a large number of volunteers and members of the public join us for our public first aid course.
